Samuel Frye on Sunday, July 29, 2012. Age 86. Husband of 50 years to the late Margaret (nee Corson) Frye. Father of Samuel (Kathy) Frye of Santa Barbara, CA; Harry (Dana) Frye of Sewell, NJ; Mark (Susan) Frye of Mullica Hill, NJ; Wanda (Michael) Vassaras of Woodstown, NJ; Keith (Kelly) Frye of Pittsgrove, NJ; Bryan (Alicia) Frye of Franklinville, NJ; Paul (Sandra) Frye of Pittsgrove, NJ; and Sheila (Ozz) Frye of Aurora, IL. Grandfather of 34; Great-grandfather of 21. Brother of Rebecca Metcalf, Ida Boeckle, Betty Darrell, Warren Frye, and the late Alma Stevenson, Maryetta Wesley, Bertha Deleeuw, Harry Frye, Raymond Frye, and Howard Frye.
Born in Camden, and raised in Ferrell, Samuel was a resident of Franklinville for 48 years. He proudly served in the US Army during World War II as a Private First Class. Samuel worked to support his family in various occupations throughout his life to raise his large family. He retired in 1992 from Wheaton’s Glass Factory where he was a master painter. He was an avid hunter and fisherman as was a self-proclaimed marksman. Samuel raised beagles and was a member of the Delsea and Gouldtown Beagle Clubs.
Relative and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, August 4, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312. Funeral Service on Saturday at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment Ferrell United Methodist Cemetery, Ferrell.
